Stevie Loves ... Tara Dougans

images from www.taradougans.com

One very boring afternoon at work, I stumbled across the unique work of Tara Dougans - a Canadian-born, London-based art director and illustrator. Totally changed my day!! One thing's for sure is that this girl knows how to work a pencil! It's so refreshing to see an abstract approach to fashion illustration compared to the more literal pencil drawings we see a lot of at the moment. Loving her Spring On Acid series, which apparently plays with the idea of a garment wearing a figure as opposed to the other way round.

Stella Loves ... The Josh Goot Warehouse Sale

I'm trying so hard to be good at the moment and save money. Leave me alone evil, tempting sales!!! This incredible one started yesterday and I've heard it's by no means disappointing. So spend some money for my sake *sigh*

Stella Loves ... Camilla & Marc

images shot and edited by Stella, permission has to be asked for use and credited

Set in the decadent surroundings of the State Theatre, camilla & marc was the show no one wanted to miss. A range best described as modern baroque - the duo combined bold colour blocking, regale silk brocades, modern scuba styling and neoprene, traditional peplum frills, dropped waistlines and embellished fabrics, all together to create this unique and exciting collection. We also saw a very impressive accessories line, including perspex clutches in bright neon colours and some beautiful green suede totes. A very strong collection together with a state of the art venue, the camilla & marc show was definitely one of the most memorable shows of RAFW 2011.

Stevie Loves ... El Loco

images from www.theunbearablelightnessofbeinghungry.com

OH YEAH - IT'S TACO TIME!!!

So delicious and nutritious and just so damn good with an ice cold drink, it's no wonder taco bars are popping up all over the place like magic mushrooms after a 2 week downpour. The latest is the Merivale instalment El Loco cantina off the back of the Excelsior Hotel in Surry Hills. With Dan Hong cooking up a storm (also from Ms G's and Lotus), you're guaranteed one kick arse taco! That been said, I find them an equal rival to the ones at The Norfolk - can't decide who's I like better.

Be sure to have a look at the clip attached - an insight into the making of El Loco and its menu (Justin Hemmes is also sporting a pretty epic black eye). Also with all this rain I've been too lazy to take my own photos, so these awesome ones are from the guys at www.theunbearablelightnessofbeinghungry.com - check them out for their review and some more pics of all they yummy food and margaritas you can get!!
